I had a 1987 883 Sportster. I loved that bike, but family matters come first. I sold it for $1000 more than I payed for it, plus put 10k miles on it. You are right, you have to have the money or the H-D guys don't want to talk. The guy a the Suzuki shop was nice, but he put it to me also. I payed $4500 for a bike that list for $4200. The H-D shop wanted $9000 for a bike that list for $6000.
Yea, I know its time to take the Savage back for a check up. It will come in the next few days, when the temps cool down below riding level.
